Private trader, official name Program Service Joiku-Kotsamo. However, each accommodation register is processed as an independent register. Registers are not combined. Joiku-Kotsamo was established in 1991. It is a private trader company, domiciled in Sodankylä, and the main business is program service. Other business sectors of the trader are experience services and tour operator. The company’s official name is a Program Service Joiku-Kotsamo.

Industry description: Program service and accommodation, food maintenance. Consulting in the handicraft sector and in the food maintenance. Café and restaurant activities. Snowmobiles, earth-moving work, construction, maintenance and repair work. Massage, aromatherapy, energy treatments.

4. Purpose of personal data processing

Handling passenger information and keeping the passenger register is based on the law on accommodation and nutrition activities. The registry deals with information on logged-in passengers.

5. A criterion of processing of personal data

Law on accommodation and nutrition activities 308/2006: The information is stored in the information system. Users have no personal usernames only overheads. The information on the system is accessible and used only by the controller’s persons in which their work is entitled to.

6. Description of the legitimate representative of the controller

The processing of personal data is not based on the legitimate interest of the controller.

7. Personal information to be addressed

Passenger rails deals with passenger information mentioned in law:

    • 1) the full name of the passenger and the Finnish personal identification number or time of birth and nationality;
    • 2) the full names of the spouse accompanying the passenger and the children of minors and the Finnish personal identifiers or their birthdays;
    • 3) Passenger address;
    • 4) a country from which the passenger arrives in Finland;
    • 5) Passenger Travel Document Number;
    • 6) Arrival date and departure date of the passenger. When participating in a group trip, there is a group travel declaration with corresponding information.

    As a user of services you have the legal right to get information about what data about you is stored and who deals with your information. In addition, you can check you the information we collect and, if necessary, upgrade them up to date. You will get your information deleted from our systems or you can limit their processing. If you need more information about processing your personal information, we will ask you to contact the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland.

    Information is obtained from travel declaration by a guest or a passenger report by a passenger or a group leader who confirms it with his signature.
